Eclipse Dynamic Web Project (Target runtime) Tomcat 11 not available

Elicpse Target runtime

I downloaded Java 21 and therefore tomcat 11 and i wanted to create an Dynamic Web project. And wanted to now select the server. But under Oracle there is no Tomcat 11 what should i do ?

I have no clue, should i install java 17 and therefor a lower version of tomcat maybe ?

Solution

Tomcat 11 is still under development. It has no "release" version. Eclipse WTP will add support for it once there is, and it won't be under "Oracle" at that time.
